We teach people about our native plant species and how to interact with them.
We grow California native plants and offer specific education needed to care for your native plants and make use of their unique gifts.
We supply high quality wild foraged foods, like acorn flour or elderberry syrup, to our members that they might not be able to access anywhere else.
We provide educational services, like foraging walks and native plant garden design for our members.
We have workshops and classes to teach our members how to identify, harvest sustainably, and cook with our abundant wild foods. We have regular foraging walks in local parks.
We support local restoration projects in our local area with a special priority on lands devastated by fires.
Our online shop is available to our members only for access to a wide variety of high quality discounted goods including plants, wild food, and herbal remedies.
We partner with well aligned local community organizations to reach a wider range and multiply our impact.
Many people today are suffering from "Nature Deficit Disorder." We have been living far removed from the natural way in harmony with Mother Earth as God always intended. We believe this root separation in the heart of humankind is the direct cause of the sufferings in the world. Hunger, war, disease, and much more can be attributed to a disconnection from the natural world. How can there be people starving when there is food all around us that grows and grows potentially infinitely? Many of these struggles have been inherited from past generations and continue on due only to ignorance.
Redding Forager's Association is here to shine a light on the path for those who wish to embark on the journey to reconnection.

We believe in giving back more than we take. This means we are ensuring our presence can be a net benefit for all beings, & that our work may increase the natural bounty of resources in perpetuity. We collect and spread native plant seeds in many of our harvest areas. We pick up trash while we are out. We support local restoration project
